Ajierene tossed her strawberry hair back, her green eyes twinkling as she thought of the events the brought her to this place, so far into the wetlands. It seemed like so long ago, but she was always different than the other Aiel. More curious than most, no real hatred for peoples that the rest of her clan despised. Her mother blamed it on an episode when she was younger and had wandered off. Her parents had searched in vain and hed given her up for lost when a band of Tuatha'an brought her home.

Being born the youngest of five children, she naturally got away with more than she should have been allowed to, including following her older sister into joing the Far Dareis Mai younger than she should have. The fact that she was a quick learner helped, though. She was soon joining the raids, but other things interested her also.

But while she was loooking to join the Wise Ones, they were also discussing her fate. It seems they had all shared a dream, though all they could gather from it was that she was destined to go to the wetlands to live out her destiny there.

There was much dispute, as Ajierene was young and while she was strange in her lack of hatred and distrust for the wetlanders, she was still Aiel and not every one felt the same way she did. Ajierene saw the Wise Ones perplexed and worried for the first time she ever knew, but dreams were not to be ignored and Ajierene was soon sent on her way.

Ajierene was only 14 when she left the Threefold Land and not full grown. She was able to acquire a job at the palace at Cairhein where she most of her free time reading the books until she was unceremoniously dismissed after a dispute ove a dissapearance of some jewelry. After Cairhein she worked at many small towns, making her way through Andor to Altara and Ebou Dar. She mastered the art of swimming, to a degree, then headed north again. She worked her way through Ghealdan and Arad Doman to Saldea. Often working only a month or two in a town before she left for one reason or another.

The queen in Saldea had an Aes Sedai advisor and Ajierene found it pleasant to talk to her, until one day the Aes Sedai looked at her in a different light. "you have the spark born in you, child. One day you will wield the One Power, whether you wish it or not. You must go to Tar Valon where you can yield the Power properly." Ajierene had not been to Tar Valon yet, and the idea of learning something new appealed to her, so she followed the Aes Sedai's Warder to the Tower, the first place in the wetlands she has called home for more than a month or two.
