I'm sure an admin or someone else who knows how to do this better than I, will be along shortly to make you feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy, but in the meantime maybe you could tell us a little about the character you want to play or what questions you may have about the site. We're on the smaller side here these days, but we have a really top notch group of writers who can help you with just about anything you need. (I'm not sure if we have any licensed electricians if you have needs in that area, but I'm sure we can always MacGyver something up for you.. )

Dive in or just get your feet wet, you set the pace and choose where you want to start from. Any questions you have can be answered here, via PM, or in the chatroom. What would you like to know?

Welcome! It's always good to see a new face once in a while. I'm sure you'll fit right in.

In any case, the easiest place to get started and to look for new ideas would be in the Bio Critique forum where you can look to see how others started their characters, and how to make your bio unique. You don't necessarily have to write a bio before you start writing, but I highly recommend it (this way you have some sort of basis for your character and a direction you want them to head in, rather than just writing out of the blue and making it up as you go along in a basic thread).

Finally, once you are done browsing the bio boards, feel free to read any of the stories, or even start your own in the First Stories forum.
