 Portalstones Bluezone Portalstones and it's ancestors have been around for what, 12 years now?
In that time members have come and gone, but of the current, active membership I imagine most have been around for some time. Given that, it's probably a fair assumption that the median age of the community has slowly shifted upward.
Now, I know that with the material we're working with here there are definite limits to the amount of gore, sex, and profanity and there always will be.
I'm just wondering if the tolerance for such things has changed over the years to reflect the sensibilities of a more adult crowd.
...Not that I'm planning on a giant monkey orgy thread or anything.

Re: Portalstones Bluezone Honestly, I'm okay with it so long as there is some indication that the thread may be more "mature" in content. Not because I'm concerned that I'll be offended, but just for anyone who might not enjoy reading something like that. As long as it truly works with whatever story is being told, I'm good. Oh, and it's 14 years, not 12. Maybe I should've been a Brown instead...

Re: Portalstones Bluezone My take on it has always been to cover your butt with warnings. I don't have an issue with more, erm, mature content not the least because I don't believe we have any underage members anymore anyway. I'd say if you know a thread's going that way, then perhaps mark it MA in the title and put an OOC warning at the beginning of the thread and at the top of each page.

The WoTverse has always seemed very sanitized to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just wondered if, given shifting demographics and all, some folks felt more inclined to write fiction like G.R.R. Martin than Jordan/Sanderson.

Re: Portalstones Bluezone *grins* Well, if someone considers writing a fun Bluezone thread, I might be up for it... After all, Greens have a certain reputation to live up to  I totally agree with Jenisi, as long as a thread is obviously marked as including adult content, I don`t see a problem with it.
