So some of us in the CR got together for a few nights of impromptu Skype chat, and (despite Pokemon pickup lines and a hundred Youtube links) it seems we had a lot of fun. So, I was thinking it might be cool to do this on a semi-regular basis, perhaps twice a month, alternating times so we can accommodate as many people as possible. All you need is Skype & a username (free), and to overcome that last hurdle of shyness (we all did, some of us longer ago than others!). It'd be great to come especially if you're not in the chatroom much--that is, it'd be a great chance to pretend you have a real social life. =D

If this seems like something you'd find fun, drop a line. If you have any ideas for chat-wide activities, also good--for example, Damon seems willing to lead some improv.

I'd love to come, but after using some sort of time converter I don't think that I'll be able to. According to that one it would be 5:15am Sunday morning here in Sweden. I'm usually asleep at this hour. If I due to early daughter is awake, I'll pop on! But I doubt it...

I call shenanigans. You pick late hours, and consistently on the week that I have to work. Specifically, where I have to wake up at 4:30 am EST in order to get to work on time.

Shenanigans have been invoked. Watch yourselves.

If you'd given a specific time, then I would've tried to schedule to accommodate. As it is, I polled the people who seemed the most responsive and picked a time I thought they'd be around.

And don't be a big baby, I used to have to wake up at 3:30AM for a 5AM shift, and often had to work 15-hour days. =P

Something to consider that's also free and easy is using something like a ventrilo server and just leaving it up and running - sort of like the cr but for voice chat - so you don't have to worry about schedules and people can just pop in whenever they like. Plus it has the advantage of push to talk so you don't have a constant stream of sound and stuff like that
