Outward Appearance: 5’11’’. Muscular but not brawny. Brown curly hair. Ice blue eyes. Sharp intelligent eyes. Big lopsided smile.
Personality: Haeldaran is known for his charismatic personality. He is very likable and outgoing. Never the most popular growing up but never one to be left out. He is very stubborn and once convinced that he has the right of things it takes the strength of a god or a wife to sway his opinion. Has a very sardonic sense of humor and is never one to shy away from an interesting debate, no matter which side he has to defend to make things interesting.

Background: The Sandestrins were a fishing family when Haeldaran was a child. He learned of the perils of life at sea at a very young age. When Hael was seven years of age he watched in horror as his uncle’s ship wrecked against rocks of the coast of Lostorisia during a great storm. The sailors perished and Haeldaran never saw his uncle again.

When Haeldaran was 14 he was out on a ship returning to harbor from a successful haul out over the reefs off the coast between Astorisia and Lostorisia. The sea was getting rough due to an incoming storm. Out of nowhere a huge wave crashed over the ship, washing Hael’s brother Thestoras overboard in the process. Not wanting a repeat of his uncle’s downfall Haeldaran tied himself to the mast and leapt into the sea. He reached his unconscious brother and held him tight as the sailors on board hauled them back on deck. An Eraetin messenger from the Great One appeared on the ship when the commotion settled. The messenger genuflected before Hael and said, “The Great One is pleased with you this day. You act of selflessness and valor has earned your family His Blessing.”

From that day the Sandestrins were raised to noble status. Haeldaran was enrolled in school and he was a quick study at both wielding the Blessing and storing its power in the sacred crystals. When he was 18 he met his future wife at her coming of age celebration. He was captured by the fire in her eyes as they argued the finer points of Blessing storage. They became fast friends and when he was 22 years of age and she 21 they were married.
They had a child and named him Valaraedan. When he was but half a year old the King of Astorisia passed into the presence of The Great One. Haeldaran and his wife Valerisia were a popular choice for the crown and shortly after the time of mourning was passed Haeldaran was crowned King. At the age of 25 he was both the youngest King and the most powerfully Blessed monarch to reign over the realm.

I like how this King is set up. The avatars bless those who will be nobles. The nobles elect a king. The fact that Haeldaran became a noble for saving someone is a nice touch. This guys seems like the kind of guy you just want to be friends with because he is so friendly. I can't wait to RP with him.

Mmmm....Haeldaran, perhaps you may like to include Hael's feelings on never seeing his uncle again and perhaps a short scene on his brother's rescue (the determination not to lose his brother and the difficulties he faced while trying to save him)? These are things you could consider to improve your bio.
