Re: [Sticky] Entrance hall for Newbies Hello there. Brand new here. This is my first time doing a WoT related rp despite having read the series for over 15 years now. (Feel so old whenever I think about that.) Rping for several years, around 8 I believe. I haven't roleplayed seriously in about two years though. So yeah. Any pointers about where to start?

Re: [Sticky] Entrance hall for Newbies Welcome to Portal Stones! Best suggestion from me would be to post up on a few threads in the Social forum and get to know the people around. Perhaps post up a bio for us guys to have a look at and even jump in the Chat Room to meet some of the members who lurk there... Be careful though, they bite  When you feel like you have a handle on the theme and setting, you should either start a new post to introduce your character or hop on an open thread or something. Either way, I hope you have fun here!

Say I was wondering as I started outlining a bio, is there a system to place your characters where you want rank-wise? Kind of like having a requirement before our characters can be Accepted, Aes Sedai, or in an Ajah?

Re: [Sticky] Entrance hall for Newbies Not sure if anything has changed lately, but I was always under the impression you could make an Aes Sedai from scratch without having to go through all the stages beforehand. This community has always been more about the writing then any system involved... although others may say otherwise I haven't made a new character in a long time!
